Because of our past success with critter cam housings, National Geographic has approached us once again to create camera housings suitable for a deep ocean environment. National Geographic is hoping to capture high resolution video of sperm whales in their deep water habitat.

Our BCF-40b material is extremely lightweight, yet durable enough to withstand significant hydrostatic pressures at ocean depths of up to 10,000 meters, which makes it ideally suited for that purpose.

With high-quality video, scientists will be better able to study the whales closely, observing feeding, mating and recreational habits of these leviathans in ways never before possible.
